Engraved Invites

So we are looking at some customized engraved invites with two colors and a second color backing. No extra like ribbons or rinestones, but pretty fancy ones.
We went for a quote at a place on LI, nice nice people, but the quote came out to almost 20 buck a piece for 250 of them!!!
I KNOW that is way high, even for Crane's, so I was wondering if anyone had any luck with vendors on LI that were reasonable with engraving and/or online vendors who can work with us on the phone since we know what we want.

Engraved Invites

Check out William Arthur. I have to say, though, that I was also shopping around for engraved invites, as well as letterpress, and they are very, very expensive. I just couldn't justify the cost. I ended up with thermography invites, which came out beautifully.

Engraved Invites

I found a site called Reavesengraving.com and called them. I have to say that it seems like they have all the cranes papers and can do all the special things we were hoping for. I am waiting to get some samples and talk to the people there some more, but the prices look promising not just for engraving but thermo as well. We will see!
