Enlarging photos for engagement party

Enlarging photos for engagement party

My mom and I thought it would be cute to enlarge some photos of FH and I to be displayed for the e-party. Does anyone have any ideas where to either 1) get this done (i'm thinking Kinkos?) or 2) how to display them?

Anyone do something like this for their e-party?

Kinko's can do a color copy. It is fine if you don;t care about exquisite level of detail. If you have the negative, then they can do it at most camera/film places.

We did this for our e-party and we did it at CVS. Cheap and easy and they are having 2 for 1 right now. The pictures come out great.

How big did you enlarge the photos? I was thinking 14x17 - did you frame them or enlarge them onto foam board? THANKS!!!

That's what I'm also thinking about doing for my e-party...Actually the other day a friend of mine got a picture blown up at Kinko's and it looks awesome.

For my e-party I am planning on doing a nice frame around the pic. IMO, I just think it looks more elegant.

Rina - how big? Did she use a frame or a foam board?

She got a 16 by 20 with a frame...it's big, but looks really, really nice. I'm thinking about doing either 14 by 17 or 16 by 20 and see which one I like better. The only problem is that the frame would probably be the most expensive part of the pic, but I'm pretty sure there are frames out there that are big and inexpensive. My friend actually used a frame that she already had. Where are you having your e-party? I'm having mine at the SandCastle in May.

Mine will be at Tribecca Grill in NYC - sunday champagne brunch!

Thanks so much for the suggestions. The frames ARE expensive! I had no idea. I'm trying to think of cheap frame stores in NYC or LI but nothing comes to mind.
You have a nice long engagement! Time to think and plan.

If I come across any stores or find any big frames I will FM you the info. Cheap is always good! Luckily, I do have a long engagement...thank-god...I hate being rushed and I am the pickiest person in the whole world.

there's a place by my apt. in the city that will make 11x14 frames for $20 a pop. I don't know how that price is - i'll shop around! I think it's not so bad, actually....

That sounds really good. I want to look on ebay and try a few stores in Queens.
