We have finally decided on a chicken and fish ( want to print my menus)
Please vote on what you would eat as a Beef for those who eat beef...THANKS!

1)Chateaubriand
roasted slices of prime center cut filet mignon, served with a gourmet button mushroom demi-glaze sauce

2)Filete Mignon au Poivre
roasted slices of prime center cut filet mignon, served with a Dijon tri-colored peppercorn brandy sauce

3)Certified Angus Rib-Eye
select prime ribs of beef, roasted with garden vegtables,fine herbs and topped with its natural juices

4)Migonette Madeira
roasted slices of prime center cut filet mignon,served with an array of wild mushrooms and topped with a classic wine sauce

They all sound delish.. but I'd pick #2!

I don't eat meat but I think that a lot of people don't like filet mignon. So I voted 3.

I stated for those who eat Beef...we are having a fish dish and vegetarian, I'm just concerned with the beef right now, since they are offering us this menu, I dont have much of a choice about the filet mignion..they'll eat chicken or fish if they dont like it..

I qualified my response so you knew that I wasn't an expert in meat!! I wanted you to know that I voted for three but have never tasted them and was just basing it on what I have heard. Obviously, you have other options for other people.

IMO i like 1 or 2...but i guess on the safe side i would go with 2

I completely agree. At every affair I have been to recently, they have served filet mignon. But I always hear people saying that it is only ok. Just recently, we had it at Oheka, the Rainbow Room and at a country club. No one seemed to enjoy it. Then a couple of people told me that a lot of people just don't like it. Like I said, I never eat meat, so I am not talking from personal experience. But hopefully, something I said was helpful.
