My enevlopes are going t the calligrapher on tuesday but I have a problem.
I have a couple whom I am inviting to the wedding, I know the gentlemens first and last name but I only know the girlfriends first name. They have been together for over 4 years and I would feel bad writing 'Guest' for her. I have an address but no phone number and I am running out of ideas. Nobody know her last name
What should I do ? Please help

did you try looking them up on whitepages.com or something? can you find his # and ask him?
ETA: worsty case, just write her first name... its better than writing guest on the envelope IMO

does she have facebook?? i know stupid question but i got half of the girlfriends names from there

I would use his name on the outer envelope alone and on the inner just put BOTH of their FIRST NAMES only. That way, it looks even, and they know they are both invited together.
None of your guests are going to compare their inner envelopes, so they won't know that you did that.
Just make sure you call those friends for their last names before the wedding so you can label their escort cards appropriately.

Call him and ask him what his GF's last name is. We did that for invitations and nobody was offended.

Thanks girls. I knew by posting this I would get help. I also just thought maybe his daughter might have a facebook or myspace page. I should have my envelopes back in 2 weeks so I have a little more time I hope I can make.
Worst comes to worst I will write her name on the inner envelope. Thanks a lot girls

Can you ask him what her last name is? Could you find her on facebook?
