Envelope Etiqutte

Envelope Etiqutte

I'm going to start writing my thank you cards tonight from our Engagement party.

I know I’m to hand write on the inside of the cards and include any special messages i.e. thank you for the cocktail shaker etc so it's more personalized.

My question is about the envelops. FH & I live together; but of course we still have different last names. Do I put my first name, last name and then his first name, last name in the from field? Or do I just put my name since I’m writing them & mailing them (LOL! not meant to sound bitter or upset LOL).

Just want to make sure I do the envelopes correctly and that it's ok that I include both our names in the from field.

Also; should I write it on the front of the envelope; or on the back flap so the front of the envelope doesn't look so crowded?

TIA!!

I would put it on the back... and honestly, your first names are probably sufficient. I have a Three Designing Women stamp that's decorative and has our first names and MY address that I've used for everything... If you're going to put your full names... yours should be listed first. Hope this helps....

Are you talking about the return address? I just used our address, and no name.

And I did them on the front, but in a smaller font size than the mailing address.

I think to save yourself the hassle, you should put only your address on the back flap with no names

I was also wondering-i can be informal in my cards right? Meaning if my aunt is named Jane Doe; on the inside when i right my thanks i can just righe Aunt Jane; don't need to do 1st/lst name since we're family right?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question. Guess it really doesn't matter how i write them out.

FH and I are planning to address them as 'The Future Mr. and Mrs. XXXXX'. We also live together. Not sure if we are putting it on the front or back yet
