Envelops

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I need to get my envelops done for my wedding but I dont want to spend a fortune. Is there any way you can do it from your computer at home?(caligraphy). I would appreciate any ones assistance on this matter.

Thanks

Re: Envelops

I printed my envelopes on my computer, inner and outer. I used a calligraphy font that was in my word perfect program. There are plently of websites that you can download fonts also.

It was very simple and I think they came out really good. Feel free to ask me any questions.

ETA: I did not use labels, I printed directly on the envelope

I also did this on my computer and did not know how easy it was. There is a program in Word And Caligraphy is in there. I bought Clear Mailing Labels at Office Max and Everyone loves My invites...To Add something extra you can by seals at Party City to put on the back.

I just sent mine off to Bill at Inkspun (www.inkspun.com). He does computer calligraphy on outer envelopes for 39 cents a piece. (I don't have inners, so I don't know the price on those.)

I was too nervous that I'd get the envelopes stuck in my printer, they'd rip or smear, etc. This seemed like an easy and pretty inexpensive way to take some stress off myself. He has a bunch of fonts, and he can even do print in a complementary color.

Good luck!

There is a program on your computer if you have word. Just go into format from in the word document (it will be at the top) and click on font, after clicking on font there is a list of names under the font (for instance the first one on my computer is Abadi MT condensed light) just scroll down until you see anything that says script, there are a couple of them and try until you get the one you prefer. Then you can print them onto the labels.

I used artisticaddressing.com (digitized calligraphy) I highly recommend Kathy...she is outstanding to work with and her product was amazing!

You can certainly print them out yourself...I just didn't want to get into that with the envelopes, due to the inner lining and existing return address. I turned to a professional and got professional results :D

you can see mine here -

I used Inkspun too and it only took 3 days from the time I shipped the envelopes to him to get them back!! I had 65 outer envelopes, plus asked him to print my address on my RSVP cards and the return address on the outer envelopes and the whole thing came to about $1 an invitation (for navy ink, which is a slight extra charge). It saved me so much time and effort, so I would consider this as an option.
