EParty Review!!! Chateau La Mer
OK so my eparty was this past Saturday night, and we so lucked out because the weather was freakin perfect! I left my flip flops on all day after I got my pedicure!
So FH and I have only been at Chateau La Mer during the day. We booked the upstairs room, I think its called the Bayview room. With the lights dim, the candles lit, the fireplace going, my balloons on the tables (we used Long Island Balloon in Hicksville who did a perfect job,and even left extra balloons) the room looked stunning!!!! The relatives could not stop raving about how beautiful Chateau La Mer is!
The food was phenominal! My brother is the pickiest person in the world, and he called the next day to say the salmon was outstanding, and they even asked all my guests if they wantes seconds!!!!! FH and I had a platter with all 3 dinners! The waitstaff was excellent! I always had a full glass in my hand!
The only thing I was not satisfied with was the house dj. It seemed as if everything I requested not to do was done. We wanted no old music, and he started with Run Around Sue, we wanted no pop and he played Pussycat Dolls, we wanted old school rap, like Tribe Called Quest, and he played Yeah by Usher. We wanted mostly house music, which was played at the end of the night, only after FH and my brother yelled at him! The only request he played was To Be Able to Love, which got everyone out on the dance floor, and then he played something totally different which got everyone off!!!! The only thing he didn't do was talk a lot, which my mom hated, but I was ok with.
Three things I learned from Saturday night
1. The purpose of the Bridal Suite. A half hour in I had to escape with one of my BM's cause I was dizzy from taking pictures!!!
2. 4 hours is not enough time!!! FH and I definitely want to add an extra hour to our wedding!!
3. Be VERY specific with your DJ. I feel like I was, but maybe I had to be more!
To all the Chateau La Mer brides, your gonna have a perfect wedding!!! I'll post some pics that I have soon!
