we are having it outdoors - and it looks like we are going to get an okay day.....but anything can change so i am keeping my fingers crossed!! i am actually hoping its a little warmer than the forecast so i am not freezing in my dress!!
so we have to set up everything ourselves! we are having a tent put up and the tent company is supplying the dancefloor, tables, chairs, china, wine glasses, silverware - but we have to set everything up ourselves minus the actual tent......then we have to set up all the guest place cards, do the table #'s, arrange all the place settings (dish, napkin, silverware, wine glass), the linens (tablecloths), the candle centerpieces in hurricane vases, with rocks, the votives for the tables, tiki torches, the favors, all the paper goods for the cake (we are only using china for dinner to save money), two bottles of wine on every table (merlot and pino) and then all the beer in those buckets that look like old school bath tubs filled with ice lol
has anyone else had a party where they set up everything themselves? it seems a little overwhelming.....we're going to go there to set up the big stuff in the morning, then im going to go home to have my hair/makeup done and get dressed, then go there to set up the candles, and place settings!! we have our parents to help but it seems like SOOO MUCH!!!
sorry just needed to vent - and please tell me we can do it all without a hitch hahahahahahaha

Re: eparty set up - did you do it?
I didn't set up everything for my eparty, but I set up a few things. Don't worry though, I'm sure it'll be fine! I'm sure people will be helping out!

Re: eparty set up - did you do it?
We rented a rec room for our e-party and pretty much had to set up everything ourselves. The place was around the block from my moms, so my mom, step-dad, sis and her bf and bro and his gf got everything started and then went home and showered and then we got there like 2 hrs early and set up all the last minute things. I would definetly round up some family/friends for assistance, there is a lot that you need to do and you also need to get ready and be fresh and pretty and not a sweaty mess. Good luck, I am sure its gonna be great

Don't it would be no different if you had it at a place and they were setting up - you wont know what its REALLY going to look like till its done.

Re: eparty set up - did you do it?
I set up everything for my e-party too...it was overwhelming...so I made a party of it and invited all my girlfriends/sisters and FSIL over...
to make things easier we asked the tent company to come the day before and we set up the tables and chairs the night before...then started at like 9am with everything else..

Re: eparty set up - did you do it?
FH's cousin just had their eparty outdoors and it was great. They didn't do table number seating. A lot of people were standing and chatting. Are you having waiters or food staff? They had 3 and it helped a lot. Why don't you do the candles and rocks in vases the night or even week before and just put them in a box to transport? That way you only have to put them on the tables. I'm sure you'll have a lot of people helping you with the other stuff. It may seem overwhelming, but everything will be great!

We set up everything ourselves for our eparty. I started then left to get my hair done and my family and some friends and FH set the rest up. It wasnt bad to do at all.

Re: eparty set up - did you do it?
thanks guys, i feel better that a few of you have done the same thing.........all the stuff from the tent company will be there the day before....depending on the weather we may be able to set up the tables and chairs the night before - but the place is part of a museum/park and is open to the public so i dont want people stealing anything - or else id set up everything the night before.....so we kind of want to do as much as we can right before the party starts - which will be hectic because i'm getting my hair and make up done, and then we are having a photographer come 1 hour before to take pics......
well anyways, i cant wait (for it to be over LOL)......hopefully i will have lots of pics for you guys!
