Hi ladies, Tonight I am going to Buttercookie Bakery to order my engagement party cake for NEXT weekend!! So excited, but the cake has been a serious point of contention between me and FH - we can't decide which flavor. Please tell me which you think would be the bigger crowd pleaser - note - we are having the party at a Belgian restaurant so they are also going to be making Belgian waffles with toppings for dessert, but we wanted a cake to cut! Thanks for the input!
Option 1: Red velvet cake with cheesecake filling and a chocolate ganache outer shell
Option 2: 'Silk and satin', which is a chocolate mousse and cheesecake cake with a chocolate ganach outer shell
Option 3: Plain old sheet cake with buttercream or cannoli cream or something comparable
They're all good . . . I just can't pick one! TIA

I voted for the sheet cake because if you're having a big meal and belgian waffles (which sound really delicious), people may not want to eat a cake that's too rich or heavy. It would be a shame for it to go to waste.

They all sound delicious!
But my vote is red velvet! It's not a flavor that people eat often, but it's delicious!
The cake for my e-party was red velvet and (although it was very small b/c we also had a dessert buffet) everyone loved it! And those who don't like red velvet can have Belgian waffles!!!!!

i've only had red velvet once- not so crazy about it. I DO on the other hand LOVe anything chocolate and cheesecake!
