Epi-no?

Epi-no?

Ok so this may be TMI but I'm wondering. Has anyone ever used this? My doctor sells this at her office and she highly recommends it to all of her first time moms. It helps stretch the, um, muscles so that there is little or no tearing.

Has this been recommended to anyone else by their doctor? I could see the benefits of it but everyone I've talked to has said they've never heard of it before. Here's a link...

That is a lot of $$$ and there are no guarantees that you won't need an episiotomy (sp?). I have 3 children and I've never once been a victim of incontinence or had any sexual side effects.

Good Luck with whatever you decide.

I also read that if you massage the pernimun (sp?) you lower your chance of having an epis.

If I decide to use it I'll let you know. I'm unsure at this point because it's about $125 for it and I'm not sure of how positive it is that I wouldn't need an episiotomy even if I use this. I would also like to know from someone who used it if it works.
