I love engagement pictures and when we take them i would like the perfect place. So i'm dying to know where did you ladies take epics? Feel free to include why if there was a particular reason you liked that place. Site fees too if possible. Thanks! I'd love to hear

Re: Epics
central park and some around fifth avenue. i wanted to take our epics in a location that was beautiful but i also wanted to have a bit of ny in there. fh is from ohio and his family loved that they got to see us in the city for our pics. i personally love urban looking pictures so i thought the city was perfect for us

Re: Epics
we're going in the spring/summer to 5 Points in Long Island city to take our pictures. I am not a flower or garden person and think that all the grafitti will come out looking awesome in pictures.. Our photographer also suggested this as one of the popular places for e-pics and wedding photos.
brooklyn bridge, dumbo, central park... their view are gorgeous and NO site fees!

Re: Epics
We had 3 different epics...the 1st was in the cloisters just because it was pretty and different...the 2nd was at the museum of natural history since we used to go there alot when we 1st started dating and I love that museum and finally at coney island since we love the beach and the overall area.
No fees for any of them except at the cloisters we got kicked out. i guess you need a permit.

Re: Epics
We are either going to do 5 pointz (picture above), or DUMBO in BK. Only if FH can get off on a weekday, which I doubt.
So then we'll have to do it by Thomas Paul at Sunken Meadow Park.

Re: Epics
we took ours in times square and the theater district. we both love the city and i thought that area would have an awesome back drop. we are taking our wedding photos at the hall since they have amazing gardens, so we'll have those pics too.

Re: Epics
we took ours at Gantry State Plaza/Long Island City Piers. FH was the one who actually suggested it and thought we could get some great shots there (see album for pics). We had the city in the background and I just love the architechural look of it. And there really is so many different little areas you can go to find a shot there.

Re: Epics
We did ours at the antique carousel at Hempstead Lake State Park. I loved the whimsy of the location and the colors. We got some great shots there. Fee was $50
We also took pics at Old Westbury Gardens. DH enjoy strolling around there and he had considered proposing there. Fee was $150
We took ours at Rooselvet North Park in Oyster Bay

Re: Epics
We're semi-recreating our first date.
We're heading up to the sub shop we stopped at for lunch on our first date then to the university campus where we met and practically lived at for the first four years of our relationship. We're hoping to get some pictures in the studio we were both in freshman year! On to the Art Gallery where we went for a class trip (on the first date) then across the way to the park. We'll be bringing our pup with us to the park as well!
While there are always tons of beautiful locations & buildings to take pictures. We opted for something that was a little more personal and about US rather than the just the scenery.
Of course, we lucked out because our first date was at such different and picture worthy locations!
