Pratt (Greg), Jing May and the chubby kid they were helping crashed into the river after a road rage driver shot Jing May and forced them off the road and into the Chicago river....the kid was paralyzed and then died....Pratt seemed OK but then had brain damage and thats when I fell asleep. I think Jing May was recovering. Kari Weaver gained (full?) custody rights? Or is it just visitation?
Oh, what happened with Carter too? Did his GF leave him?

Carter and his GF scattered their baby's ashes in the water, and he asked her to stay, but she said she needed time, and she is leaving.
Pratt woke up, asked Jing May for paper and pen b/c he couldn't speak b/c of the tube in his throat. He wrote on the pad 'I have a shift at 8 am.' So I don't think he is brain damaged... That was all that happened with him, so I'm not sure.
I think Luca convinced Sam to come back to Chicago.
Carrie got custody and Sandy's family will have visitation.

He was a patient. He needed a ride home b/c he couldn't get in touch with his mom. So Pratt offered him a ride in his new car.
