I tried to FM her to make sure she was ok after yesterday's *situation* but her account is deactivated.

WE ALL over react to things and make rash decisions... I'm sure things will work out, so don't let this break your spirit.

If anyone speaks to her please let her know this.

I would hate to see anyone leave here b/c of a lack in judgement and maybe some of us were being a little too hard on her.

Re: ErinC0119

was this about the silly thread regarding the post on Newlyweds? Lordy!!!

I hope Erin can come back!! I never actually read all of it...I knew it was getting way outta control so I didn't spend the time on it.

yes. I feel awful b/c I know what its like to make a rash decision that might not have been the best one and get flamed for it.

I think we can ALL agree that we would have felt insulted as well... I know I would..

we're all a little sensitive these days

Re: ErinC0119

I almost posted to that thread, bringing up my story of when I overreacted and posted about when a friend wasn't coming to my bachelorette party- and then she read it and it wasn't pretty. It's a tough time and we all get a little nuts. My friend forgave me, especially because she totally understood what it was like to be a bride and be soooo absorbed in it, thinking everyone should be as excited as you are. Brides tend to forget people have lives.

I didn't see how out of hand it got though...the thread just got too long for me to handle. Were people just completely flaming her for being upset? I can't imagine it would be enough for her to be blocked from the site!

no people weren't flaming her. EVERYONE was as nice as they could be...

but you know how it is when youre upset over something and people are telling you, you are wrong... you just want to be upset and for someone to relate.

MANY people were relating to the OP and were on her side.

I think this whole thing is a huge misunderstanding.

I'm sorry she was upset. I really am - but this was not reason for her to leave. I think she's overreacting. Hopefully the two of them will work it out and she'll be back.

No one was flaming her and had she just gone on posting like it hadn't happened... I'm sure no one would treat her differently.

Did the OP from Newlyweds get involved in the thread? Is that how it turned ugly?

thats what I was saying. (it was a misunderstanding) but we've ALL overreacted towards something or another. I know I have wanted to leave a forum (not LIW) b/c of misunderstandings and it is not a good feeling. We can't dictate to each other when they are or are not overreacting. b/c its their feelings.

i read that thread, i don't think i posted a reply... but i also read the associated thread on newlyweds, and i can easily see how everything got out of hand. i am sorry erin is no longer here - i hope she comes back!

it's so hard to be a bride, especially knowing deep down that once it's over you won't care about a lot of the little details - but they are still so important to you now! i would like to think that we can all continue to vent on here, because planning can be stressful and frustrating, no matter what the issue, and what are LIW girls for if not for support? we all have our moments, and we all have bad days, and we ALL need a shoulder to cry on now and then! hopefully, though, we can all step back every once in a while and remember what is truly important - not the *day of* but the *lifetime with*

Re: ErinC0119

Fact of the matter is, one should never vent about someone who can read it here....go straight to the source! I learned this firsthand! The only advantage I had was that I didn't have a bunch of people on this board defending the friend I was venting over.

I feel bad for both brides...this site makes all of us a little nutty. I can only imagine how bad and regretful Erin must be feeling now...last thing she probably needs. I know what it's like to post something very impulsively...and the regret is AWFUL!!

Erin if you're out there....hope you're okay!!! And I hope you and your friend have patched things up!! You're both in a tough situation!

I just want to point out that i dont think ANYONE was being disrespectful to her at ALL... people were defending the girl she was venting about, but rightfully so...

it just turned into a big thing that resulted in us losing one of our own... I just posted this to tell her that none of us want her to leave.

at least I dont...

this was just one of those cases where things were miscontrued and perhaps 'bride sensitivity' caused the OP to be offended quick. we're all guitly of it at some point in the planning! that one comment that normally wouldn't even bother you, but when you are knee deep in planning, you snap!
