Did anyone insure their engagement ring? I just got the appraisal back from my jeweler and the papers from the GIA but I am not sure if I should insure it or not. How many of you did?
i thought about doing it, but i couldn't walk when FH first gave me the ring. we got engaged 1/1/08 and it's still not insured. i think it's because i'm procrastinating. i really do think it should be insured if it's important to you!
I should really do it! I've been engaged since June and I've put it off for way to long. I def think it's something important to do.
I agree I have been engaged since November and still haven't done it. I think I will do it over feb. vacation.

I have it... and it only costs like 150 a year for full coverage. You can do it right online! FM me if you need info, and ill dig it out :)
i did! we used geico which we use for our car and apartment insurance....they were great, super easy to sign up and I think FH paid $150 for the year....sooooo worth it heaven forbid you lose a stone, or damage the setting!
I am getting around to insuring it. What you can do is put it under your homeowners. If you live in your own place, you add it as a rider to your homeowners. What you want to insure is the appraised value of your ring plus about 5K for just in case. Usually, the price is approximately 200 more a less a year. It pays to do it because you never know!
My FH knows how I am with Jewerly so he did it befor he gave it to me!
We got it insured and it cost 120 for the year
