I am working on my escort cards and I had a couple of questions.
1. If I invited someone and allowed them to bring a guest should I put 'John Smith & Guest' Or 'John Smith & Mary Johnson'?
2. If the person I invited is bringing a guest but they aren't a couple (ex: my female friend is bringing her female friend) should I put 'Mary Johnson & Guest', 'Mary Johnson & Jane Doe' or give them separate escort cards?
TIA

Re: Escort Card Questions
Hmmm good question. I'd like to see what others are doing as well. My first thought was to want to have the guests name on the card but for people who are not in relationships, I'd be worried they'd change their mind on who they are bringing and then it would be awkward for the person that actually does go. LOL

That's why I wanted to put '..and guest'. It would be kind of awkward it they brought someone else. lol.

Escort Card Questions
I would just save yourself a whole lot of trouble and just put & guest. Unless you are 100% positive they are bringing their significant other

My friend got married in September and my invite came in the mail as 'KatieLynn and Guest' even though I had been with my FH for a year at that point (this was before we were engaged) and we were all friends with each other. The escort card said 'Katielynn and Guest' on one card.

I have an exceptionally long name, so when I attended a wedding in Jan (I was already engaged) it said 'mysuperduperlonggermanname and guest' but I know it was a choice for size/ease and I was not offended. I actually teased the bride later that when she came to my wedding I would make her escort card 'Mr & Mrs Guest' of course I won't but we had a laugh!

Re: Escort Card Questions
If I knew the person, I put their names, but there were one or two that I didn't know so I just put 'and guest'.

Escort Card Questions
we did our invites basically based on how long they were together and if there was a possibility the + 1 would change by the wedding. will do the same on the escort cards. (unless someone complains!)

Escort Card Questions
I recently received an invitation that said Ms. XXXXXXXXXX and Guest, even though the bride and groom received a STD that had my name and fiance's name listed on the envelope. When I responded to the RSVP I wrote out my name and his name that way they know how to address it on the escort card. I would only do this if you know they have been together for a while. For anyone thats in a new relationship, I would put & guest.
