For those that did DIY (like the kits in stores), how hard were they? I have a crappy printer at my parent's house and am really worried about doing them at home. Any suggestions? I really don't want to hand write them on the cards my hall gave.

Re: Escort cards
I made my own escort cards for my shower and they came out great! I bought the packs from Michaels. They give you a website with the template. You type in the names and print. Very, very easy and fast. If you're printer doesn't print well though, I don't know if it would look right.

Re: Escort cards
Do they come in a sheet or something? I don't know if my printer will be good at printing little slips of paper.

Re: Escort cards
I DIY'ed mine. Used business cards and layered paper. Easy Easy. But a good printer is a must. I made a design on computer and printed it and the red was printing brown. Played with the color for 4 hours and could not get it the way I wanted. Ended up buying a new printer.

Re: Escort cards
Another option is to get Clear Labels. Print them out and stick them on the Escort Card.

Re: Escort cards
I bought the DIY ones from Michael's that come 6 to a sheet. They were very easy to do. Does FH have a printer? Or your job?

Re: Escort cards
Yeah, they're very very simple ... it's a full-page sized piece of paper with perforations ... you download a template online and it opens in MS Word and you enter the names and print and voila.
The only problem I had was with some of the longer names, I had to re-print them because the name went onto the design on the left of the card. But that's hardly an issue
