we used a seating chart and didn't have any complaints. we had about 250 guests and everybody seemed to find their seats just fine.

people actually liked the seating chart because some of them had never seen it before.

Seating charts look nice but I didn't do one because I didn't want close to 200 people all gathered around trying to see it...plus, I've heard of people forgetting the table they're at and then they have to go back and re-check the chart...just something to think about.

I originally really wanted to do a seating chart, but I know myself at weddings, I have to look at the escort card 3 times to figure out what table I'm at. With older people, I'm concerned about a mob scene at the chart, being able to see it/feeling rushed and forgetting the table numbers. Escort cards aren't as pretty, but much more functional in my opinion.

we are RH twins! Girogio was the one who brought it up to me about the seating chart. He mentioned something about having someone by the easel to tell people where they would be sitting. I like that idea of having someone there cause i am worried too about having a mob of poeple around it looking for their seats.

im doing the chart and will have about 250 people. i am having two one on each side of the entrance so it wont be as much of a mob scene--- but i have seen this done and it is no more of a mob scene then people gathered at a table of cards trying to lean over and find there card.

i was just going to say this!!!

I;m doing a seating chart.. I think its so pretty and elegant.. Pic in my album.. Ordered it from Events couture in Roslyn..
They do the monogram and everything for you..

You just rent it for the night

The god part is.. that with the cards people dont know what to do with them.. it ends up all over the table and can look messy.
