What is everyones thoughts on this? I always thought i would use escort cards until someone brought up the idea of a seating chart in a nice frame or on a easel. I thought it sounded like a nice idea.
is anyone else using a seating chart instead of escort cards? and if so Where are you getting it from?

I would go with the escort cards. The seating chart is kinda hard to see when there's a big mob of people IMO.

I'm doing a seating chart on an easel for sure, I love how elegant it is.. haven't thought that much into it yet, so if you find anything good pass it on please:)

I think I'm going to go with the escort cards...mainly because of having too many people gathered around an easel (although they do look nice)

we are RH twins! Girogio was the one who brought it up to me about the seating chart. He mentioned something about having someone by the easel to tell people where they would be sitting. I like that idea of having someone there cause i am worried too about having a mob of poeple around it looking for their seats.

im doing the chart and will have about 250 people. i am having two one on each side of the entrance so it wont be as much of a mob scene--- but i have seen this done and it is no more of a mob scene then people gathered at a table of cards trying to lean over and find there card.

I'm going with a seating chart although I'm not sure where I'm getting it from yet. They can be really nice looking in front of the entrance to your reception instead of little cards your guests have to take in with them. I also feel that it is one of the more modern things to include...that is of course if you like it better.

I like the seating chart idea, and ive seen some nice ones on Etsy....but i'm still torn. I was gonna do nice little frames for the escort cards and have that as the favor (in addition to a donation to the ACS)....but i really like the chart idea. I might go crazy and do both.

I love the easel idea! I've seen them done really elegantly, as well and think its pretty much the same thing as ppl crowding the table for their card its inevitable!

I'm wondering whats the difference between people gathered around an easel (which mind you can be in alphabetical order and so much faster for someone to find themselves) Then a bunch of people scrambling over a table of cards digging around for theirs?
IMO the easel sounds alot easier and efficient

i am doing cards. i think it will just be easier and will allow more room for people to look for their names instead of a crowd, imo

cards definately, Im sure there will be last min changes and I can always remove a card or add a card, the seating chart can't be changed at the last min.

I am getting the board and easel. I have 200+ guests and think it's an AWESOME idea! I don't know who I'm getting it through yet, I just researched some stuff online.
