Escort cards/Place cards

I've been to weddings where it was just a free-for-all .. no nothing.

This cannot be the case with us.

But... can I just put out place cards and NOT do escort cards?

Like:

I want to put a favor at every place setting and put a place card on with it.

Doable?

you can do it but i think it could get annoying for people to find their names.

maybe you could do a place card (at the table) along with a seating chart (all printed on one big piece of paper)? They have some pretty ones on etsy

Definitely! Our Banquet Manager offered to do a list -- like someone would stand at the entrance with a clipboard and just inform guests of their table assignment. That way the guests would know which table, but then they'd have placecards at their actual seat. I'm sure your hall could do that also, if you ask!

but in any case u have to have a master list of where everyone are seating, otherwise u will have roaming guests all over the place
