I went to a wedding this weekend where my escort card said 'Ms. Alyssa ****** & Guest'...w t f. FH is not my GUEST, he is my fiance, who I have been with and engaged to longer than this bride.
Would it be extremely tacky to address her escort card to 'Mrs. ******** and Guest' instead of Mr. and Mrs. soandso? I want to do it, but I dont' want to be extremely tasteless for revenge....
She would be the only one I would do this to. And it's weird because our initial invites came addressed to both of our names

Re: Escort card...tacky?
Yeah, tasteless revenge is never a good thing, but yeesh that was definitely tacky of her... ESPECIALLY if she knows his name!

I'd be pissed too... but it would be tasteless. Especially since they're married now, you know her new last name and you know they're married cause you were there. This is just going to cause problems. Be the bigger person and let it go.

I wouldn't do that...but I would spell their last name incorrectly on purpose

She knew his name because the invite was addressed to both of us. If I didn't know the name of one of my guests' guests, I would call him or her to ask...

I have 3 people on my guestlist that are invited 'with guest' ... they're all FMIL's people, all are people i wish i didn't need to invite ... their escort cards will say 'and guest' ... but yeah, if it was a friend, i totally agree that i would call them to get the guest's name

Re: Escort card...tacky?
Someone did this to me- they sent an invitation to FH and guest- I had never met them and said the proper thing to do is to find out my name as I am not his 'guest'. On the day of the wedding I had my own placecard with my own name. Maybe with all the stress of planning a wedding people get lazy and forgetful. Do the right thing and know that you are the better person!

I think no matter who's guest it is, you need to find out their name and put it on the escort card! I chased FILs for dates names but its worth it!
