When you get the chance, would you mind posting some more pics of your centerpieces from your engagement party. I was thinking about using amaryllis's for my girls since it's a winter flower....I haven't really seen them used too much in real life!!!!

ok no problem...i actually saw them tonight at the showcase mixed with cala lilly's and branches and LOVED IT!!! think we'll do that instead of orchids
Thank you!!!! I think when you bunch them all up, the shape of the flowers resemble the orchid bouquet i like...so it would all sort of match. And i love the amaryllis in deep red (which is my main color), so I may use the red ones....

yeah and i think i took pics of the one table that the flowers didn't open as much as the other, since i got them when they were closed and had to take care of them until they bloomed
They do have red ones which are real nice.

I LOVE AMARYLLIS
I am using red ones in my BO-K, possibly with some red tulips.
I think I am sticking with roses for the centerpieces but havent made up my mind yet.

one thing to note if you use them in a Bo-K - ask the florist to remove the yellow things inside or they could stain your dress!
i am trying to remember back to high school biology - what are they called? Stamin? I guess its pollen on the tip of the stamin?

yes i did my own menu's...well i bought glue at first but then i was told after that it bubbles the paper and will make it move, and i tested it out and found out it was true. So I was told to use permanent double sided tape which worked amazing, its hard to even pull it apart after and doesnt move at all
