Eternity Wedding Band

Does anyone out there have/plan on getting an eternity band? I'm looking into it (with princess cut stones) and am wondering what kind of prices people have paid. I know it obviously depends on size color/clarity of stones, but am just wondering what actual prices others have paid so I can gauge myself.

Hi... I have an eternity bands with round stones. check out my album for pics I bought it at a place in the sayville flea market. Its 4 carats total. We had it appraised before we left on our honeymoon so it can be insured. It appraised for double what we bought it for! FM if you want to know details! Happy to help!

we spent a lot on mine.. it was just over 10k. thats the great thing with eternity bands.. you can give a jeweler your budget and they can play with the size of the stones/quality to make it to fit your price range. i think they are gorgeous at any size!! you wont be disappointed..

i got that ring, it is about 1.75 to 2 carats total weight, size 5.5 or 6 (can't remember), it's thin and the stones are not too big - perfect because i have small hands. oh and i had it custom made, it cost about 1400.

here is a pic:

I also have a question about eternity bands - I really want one, but I am wondering whether the stones fall out easily if you wear them all the time. For instance, I would want to wear mine to the gym, but would it be risky to lift weights and do stuff like that with one on? I worry enough about a stone falling out of my E ring without having to worry about my wedding band too!!!! Any thoughts? Thanks!

Re: Eternity Wedding Band

We went to Christian Bernard in the Walt Whitman Mall

Vin got my e-ring from a wholesale guy who went into the diamond district. Then, for our bands, we went into the DD on our own and looked- we also went to Commack Jewelry Exchange. We priced out the same ring at each place (size, color, cut, clarity, quality, etc)... At Christian Bernard it was $200 more then what we were priced in the DD (CJE said they would price match the DD ring)... So, basically, it was 200 bucks more at CB for the same thing-- I was surprised figuring that retail (and such a nice, high-end jewelry store) would be much more money...

But, the person we worked with at CB told us that since they are so close to the DD they have to compete with prices-- so, on a lot of things, they are not that much more. Now, on an e-ring it might be a bigger difference because the amount you are dealing with is much more in total dollars-- but for a wedding band it's about the same- maybe a little more retail.

What sold it for us and made the 200 dollar difference worth it was this: they have a stone guarantee that was FREE with the purchase of my eternity band-- that if we ever lose a stone or more than one stone- they will replace it for free no matter what- for LIFE. Even if I lose one once a year for some reason- and they even said that after losing two or three stones-- they just replace the whole ring's setting b/c, even though that's VERY rare, they feel that the whole ring should be re-done b/c there's a problem, apparently, that needs to be fixed.

They were a PLEASURE to work with and we got a great deal. The quality is the same as my e-ring-- G color, VVS1, round stones-- Total Carat weight of the eternity band is 2.5 carats. (I didn't want to go too big b/c i was very concerned with it 'overshadowing' my e-ring and the side stones on my e-ring-- I wanted everything to be in proportion and I feel that the size I went with was.

Now, the size of your finger makes a huge difference in price-- if you are a ten vs a size 4 (which is what I am-- lucky!!)... it's going to be a little more than HALF the price!!!! Or double if you are the ten.... obviously, the more diamonds they add the more money it will be so if your finger is big then it's going to be $$.

My band was $3,800... thank GOD my finger is TINY!!! LOL!!! Otherwise it would have been like 8!

Also... he gave us a discount-- it was $4,000 but he took 200 off... His name was Jake-- HIGHLY recommend!!! We shopped around a lot and between the quality and stone guarantee-- it was a no brainer!

I will never have to worry about a stone falling out

HTH!!!!!!!! GL!!!
