Etiquette Question

Etiquette Question

One of FH's friends has a baby on the way and his girlfriend just recently had a baby shower which I wasnt invited to. Now, they will most likely be invited to our wedding (FH's childhood friend) and I was wondering if she should be invited to my shower or my bachelorette party. I am not really close with her, but whenever the guys get together and we all hang out, I do talk to her occassionally. Im not one to hold grudges or anything (just bc I wasnt invited to her shower) but I am not crazy about her either.

What do you think?

TIA

Re: Etiquette Question

maybe her shower was a surprise and she had no control over the guest list - perhaps there was nothing malicious about it - invite her - it will be a nice gesture.

I would say no. Shower is for immediate family and friends. Don't feel bad. She will be at the wedding and if you are not that close I am sure she is not expecting it.

I agree - especially if you're 'not crazy about her'!

How will the friend be involved in the wedding? Is he in the bridal party?

If so, it's etiquette to invite her to the shower...but I wouldn't if you don't get along with her.

I CAN'T STAND one of FI's Groomsman's Fiance...I made a special request for her NOT to be at the shower. I don't care!

Her shower was actually not a surprise. But I hear what you're saying.

Thanks ladies for your advice...like I said Im not crazy about the girl but I dont dislike her either. FH's friend is not in the bridal party so I guess I'll just leave this whole dilemma up to whoever will be planning it. But I will emphasize the fact that I wouldn't be upset if she wasnt invited
