ETIQUETTE QUESTION especially for brides who got married on or around memorial day weekend...

are the thank you cards out yet??? Mine aren't, but I am almost done. Should I be totally embarrassed at this point??!! Is this REALLY poor etiquette? The time just passed by so quickly!

do you mean thank you's?

i haven't sent my thank you's out.....plan on doing it in the next couple of weeks. i think 3 months is the rule, but really you could take up to 6 months or a year....no worries!!

YES I did mean thank-yous I just edited it!

And wow.. 3 months is really ok?!?! That takes so much pressure off. I was really starting to feel like a jerk!

i'm starting to feel bad too but that's just my weird guilt...a few ppl have nonchalantly 'inquired' about when i plan on sending them out and i think that is making me feel bad too. oh well! i stressed for a year over the wedding so no need to stress about this

I went to a wedding beginning of April and another beginning of May and still haven't gotten the TY's yet. Don't stress you are fine.

i got married in April & still haven't gotten them out. picking up my proofs next week & decide on TY design.

i think most people understand you are at the mercy of the photographer. i got a TY after 6 months.

Its not rude...some people dont get their thank you pics back for a while...I have gotten thank you's 8-9 months later!

I have only received pictures from my photojournalist and I'm still waiting to get proofs back from our photographer, so TY cards will probably take 3-6 months!!

wow, ok thanks everyone. I am not sending out anything too special and I ordered the TY cards w/ the invites so I have had them for a while now! (just need to get stamps!)

I think I'll work on them this weekend to get them out of the way but I'm glad I haven't hit the point where it's horribly rude
