This is more of a which term is proper question... when i got engaged i asked my best friend to be my matron of honor since she's married but now 5 months later the tides have changed and she has just filed for a divorce. Since there is no contesting going on it will be finalized in 3 months which is all before my wedding...so what is she??? is she considered a maid of honor or is she still a matron because she was married??? Please give me some input... We were like this close to booking Woddbury C.C. but ya know the FAMILY had input so than we ended up going with J.A's.

Etiquette Question...Please Help!!!
Technicaly speaking once a matron always a matron, but I wouldn't worry about it give her what ever title you are both comfortable with. What about the Milleridge Cottage? I happen to be having my wedding there so I know it holds the amount of people you are having easily. You would be the only wedding there. Plus with your wedding being in December, they are famous for their holiday decor which includes the little village across the way. Another good thing is that it is right in Jericho, so it isn't that far out on the island, which you said you are concerned about..Good luck with whichever place you choose.

It wasn't a life or death issue....i just wanted to buy her one of those hankies with the tear-jerker poems and i couldn't figure out which one to buy!!! be careful with your name, because gina is getting married in march at villa lombardi, so you might want to specify and use an initial, or something, or something.
