European invites?

European invites?

Is anyone mailing invitations to Europe? If so, when are dropping them in the mail? I thinking about 2 weeks before the U.S. invitations. Mail always seems to take longer to reach Croatia.

Thanks!

i think about 2 weeks is a good amount of time ... just make sure your RSVP cards have enough postage to make it back to the US

we are going to be sending invites to England and Ireland. I would say when the time comes I will probably do the same as you and send their out 2 weeks in advance to the other invites.

I don't think you can put postage on international rsvp cards unless you have their native postage to put on it.

I sent a few invites to canada and one to china and i didn't put postage on the rsvp envelopes because I didn't have any from those places. I have heard of people asking family members to mail them some in advance so this isn't a problem.

i never thought about this, but 2 weeks sounds right.

I never thought about the postage for the rsvp back. I have to send one to Scotland. I will probably send it about a week before the US ones.

Can you buy international stamps online?

I think I'm going to send different invitations to Italy so that it will cost less...it will also be translated! hth

Be careful with the response cards - FH and I sent back a response card to Ireland back at the end of August. While we were there in October for the wedding it finally got back to them. Luckily it was family so they knew we were coming. The small size had to have something to do with it.
