Eve of milady Gowns

Hi Girls,

I am hoping I can get some more help with now finding my gown. I am in love with the Eve of Milday designs.

Any girls that have purchased or are going to purchase, where is the best place to go. Should I shop around, or does anyone have a particular place I can go and check out.

I have been looking into Kleinfields in NYC, thanks to the show say yes to the dress. On the island I have been looking into Linettes in baldwin, paradise bridal in patchauge as well as bridal reflections on Carle Place.

Please give me the good and bad reviews as well as bargins if any. I know Eve of Milday gowns are $$$, but its worth if for a once in a lifetime when marrying the man of your dreams and espically feeling and looking like a princess that day.

I'm an Eve bride!!!! I <3 my gown

I found my gown at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, but I wasn't thrilled with their service. I had gone to Lillette's earlier that day and worked with Gerri who I loved. I didn't actually find the gown at Lillette's though, because Gerri never brought me any Eve gowns as she was trying to keep my costs down.

At Bridal Reflections, when they realized the gowns they were pulling weren't suiting my style, they brought up two more gowns...of course over the budget I told them. In all actuality, this was fine, because I told them my budget was lower than it actually was, specifically for this purpose. So these two gown were both Eves. I instantly fell in love with the first one I put on and knew that that was my gown.

However, I didn't want to order it from them because I wasn't happy with the service. So I called around to see which other stores had the sample. NONE. Apparently Eve has a contract with BR that only they can carry samples of some of the gowns.

But.........I found a loophole. Since Lillette's carries Eve gowns in general, they can still order any gown, even if they don't have the sample! So I found the picture of it online, and brought that along with the pictures we snuck of me in it, and went to see Gerri again. Soooooo, long story made a little shorter....I found my gown at BR, but I'm ordering it from Lillette's. To measure me, Gerri used another Eve gown that's cut exactly the same as mine. I should have it in March and I can't wait!

I am going to look into linettes and ask for Gerri since she has a good rep.

When is a good time to shop for the dress? My wedding in september of 2011. And I am recovering from surgery right now so thats a bummer as well.

Gerri told me that Eve gowns generally take around 10 months to come in. So I ordered mine in June (but she told me my deadline was July) and it's coming in in March. I put it on 'rush' delivery for it to come in an extra month early, or else it would've come in April instead. I wanted it in as soon as possible for alterations and in case (god forbid) anything goes wrong.

So I'd say for Sept'11, maybe order in April or May 2010? Of course you *could* do it earlier if you wanted to.

One recommendation.....go try on the gown first to make sure it's really the one you love. Don't order it without trying it on. And like I said, Lillette's doesn't have a sample, but you can try it on at Bridal Reflections and then order through Lillette's if you wanted to.

I got mine at Village Bridal in babylon Village. Def price around tho because i found my dress at a different price every store that i looked.

I will try the dress on before ordering. All her gowns are so wonderful!!!!

I was thinking of going in May or June, so I shop around, but then finally place the order with someone reasonable.

All the time in the world, but its going so fast it seems like all of a sudden.
