Evening Bags....

This woman makes custom handbags. I'm thinking about getting one similar to this (but in white, ivory or off-white) when the time comes.

Re: Evening Bags....

Have you checked Macys and other department stores for bags like this? I got a very expensive looking, completely beaded purse for $50.

Also, there are shops in NYC that sells purses like this at wholesale.

Re: Evening Bags....

I haven't been actively looking. I 've had this website bookmarked for a while now. I'm just in love with her bags.

Re: Evening Bags....

They are very cool looking but her prices are 10X what I have seen elsewhere for the same thing.

I have never seen the bag you posted so that my be an original design - but it might be worth it to look around.

Re: Evening Bags....

Rich...ive seen those before and they are sooo cool!

If you don't mind a little legwork, you can have the same thing made for a lot less. The metals parts are sold in fabric trim shops in NYC. If you can have a piece of gown fabric cut and embroidered, then you can sew the whole thing together for less $$$. Sort of a pain I know.

Thanks I would love to do that but I'm finding I still have lots to do & not much time! Originally i planned to be more 'crafty'but planning a wedding in 6 months is harder than I thought!
