Evening ceremony

Evening ceremony

I was wondering if there are any recent brides that had a evening ceremony. Mine starts at 8:15pm in August so the sun should be just going down around this time. I was wondering how your pictures came out and how you felt about them. I'm debating about doing a reveal beforehand to get some pictures with the sun still out, but I do think evening pictures are so beautiful also.

Not an August ceremony, but I should be having mine right around sunset in March. I'm curious to see also.

Is yours outdoors?

Re: Evening ceremony

I'm doing the ceremony and CH outdoors. I'm doing it so late because our CH will be in front of this beautiful pool with great LED lights and tiki torches. The pool was the biggest reason we booked the venue so we had to take advantage of it.

I've seen pics of the pool at CHCC. So very jealous. Alas it's out of our budget.

Re: Evening ceremony

That's what we thought lol, but our BM gave us a great price cut during our first visit. Our top choice was Fox Hollow but for that we would have had to wait until 2015 to be able to afford it and get a good date lol. I was not waiting any longer, me and FH have been together for 6 years already! lol What place are you going with?

Thank you!!

We don't know yet. We've seen Swan Club and Douglaston Manor. Going to see Westbury Manor, The Riviera and The Metropolitan on Sunday. But, since FH's friend is getting ordained to marry us, we may have to do it at Douglaston Manor because Nassau/Suffolk doesn't allow him to marry us. NYC does.

Re: Evening ceremony

Does anybody know how to quote what you're replying to?

Anyway, @jenandivan I visited Westbury Manor also. It beautiful, more old fashioned. The price she quoted me for a Friday was the same as Crest Hollow's original price but she wanted me to gurantee 175 people. She was also very busy and expected me to make a decision that day. Hopefully you have a better experience. I've also heard lots of good things about the Swan Club. Good luck in picking a place!

Thanks. The decision will be made by next week. And then I'm DONE with that. On to flowers.

Re: Evening ceremony

I'm staying away from flowers. I had no clue what flowers cost since I don't really care about them, btu after meeting with my first florist, I got overwhelmed by the price lol. I think I'll revisit flowers in September.
