Evening weddings

Re: Evening weddings

What is at 8pm, ceremony or CH? My ceremony was at 6pm, CH and reception right after. Our wedding ended at 1, and if I had to do it all over, I would've scheduled it to end at 12 the latest. We had so many people leaving before we even cut the cake! I felt like the last hour was kind of a waste. But sunset is late in June, you should have no problem with pictures ...

Re: Evening weddings

That is the time of my wedding in July! I know that the sun normally sets around 830 or so around that time and even later in july so I think we should be ok. Just make sure your ceremony is early enough that pictures are in the light.... my CH is at 8, reception at 9 til 1

My ceremony is at 8 so far, and I'm might book for June. But I'm still looking at different RH. I haven't booked yet. I'm going to East wind RH tomorrow

I don't know about the darkness issue, but I think 1:30 is kind of late for a wedding to end

Re: Evening weddings

My wedding is in the evening.. ceremony at 7pm. Its in the beginning of fall so the sun will set about 6:30pm. FH and I will be getting ready at a nearby hotel and will probably do the 1st view their. Then maybe go to a park and take more pix together and also all the family pix. We will be at the RH by about 5pm-5:30pm and will take pix there before the ceremony starts. This way all of our family pix and most of the pix of us will be out of the way. We can enjoy the CH with our guests and then off to the reception without worrying about having to take tons of pix and missing out on the party that we will be paying so much for!
