Ever been to a Psychic? Do you believe in them?

In 2000, I went to a psychic, and it scared me. She told me things that happened and were going to happen. She was very specific. SHe mentioned that I could have gotten married once, but I turned it down. She told me that I went to Cancun, she specifically said Cancun, and that I met someone, but nothing happened beacsue I was involved. That was true. She said that I was going on a trip and I already had my tickets. She specifically said I had been tehre before, it was to Florida, I had been there many times. She told me I would hear from the Cancun guy again. I did, New Years Day of 2001. I hadn't spoken to him in a year and a half. SHe told me taht I worked alot, more than one job, and that I would marry someone that made good money and taht I wouldn't have to work so hard. She said I waould have two pregnancies, but not two children...
I have cystic ovaries and I am going to most likely go on Clomid... Weird as anything.

Has anyone else been to one? Did you feel that she was real of fake?

i for one dont believe in them and my mom once told me that they are sac religious and you wont go to heaven, and i know thats not true but for some reason it keeps me from going.

I know, my grandmother tells me that too. According to my grandmother, I am already banned from there because tattoos are a sin..

Well, I went to one in November. She told me I'd be pregnant within 3 months, and she was right.
She also said I'd be having a boy... I'll let you know about that one in 4.5 months!

I don't believe at all...there is no scientific proof...

I think its just a person who can read people...and can change their responses based on your...even your facial movements

well, i believe some are true psychic, bu tmany frauds! my has one she has been seeing for years. i went a few times. i remember 1 particular time she predicted my bf at the time was cheating and he was going to leave me withing 6 months. the scary thing is he was and he did!

My grandmother was a clarovoyant and spoke to the dead. My mom told me this and swears it's true. I have run ins with my now deceased grandmother and believe they are true (marni you will back me!- Helga!) but I've been to many psychics and they have been right on the money. My nieghbor's house is definately haunted and I have seen and believe it. I would say that it sounds ligit.

Okay I have to reveal a really big secret here. Since it's a Friday night I should be pretty safe (not too many people here). No Miss Cleo jokes either!

I was a telephone psychic for about 2 1/2 years. I was working for a voice company and one of the services they started was a psychic line. We actually had a witch come in and bless tarot cards for us to use...yes I know we were on the phone but we had to use them to sound real. We then had a seminar with a psychic who told us how to get information from people without them realizing they were giving it. The secret is to ask very general questions that would draw out answers. For example we would say 'I see you have had some great sadness in your life with a loved one'. This would usually draw a response from the person'yes my grandmother is ill' or something like that and you can then expound on that. The idea is to never be very specific. Most people have sadness, deaths, go on vacation, change jobs etc. If you were good at what you did you could keep someone on the phone for some time. There were certain things I wouldn't do, for instance tell anyone that there would be a death. I just could not do that.

So in answer to your question..no I do not believe in them.

I went to a psychic a few months before I met my DH, she told me I would meet my future husband that summer but it would be a long time before we got together, even gave me his initials. We new each other for 3 years before we got together and he has the initials she gave me. So yes I do believe but I think you have to find a good one a lot are phonies

LOL!!! Didn't you ever hear the phrase 'You have to watch out for the quiet ones?'? Well I am the quiet one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You would be surprised at the stories I could tell you and things I have done!!!

I know that he is not really a psychic, but a 'medium', but I am going to see John Edwards on a couple of weeks. I don't know if I believe, but he freaks me out with some of the things he says, although I've only seen him on TV, and for all I know could be scripted!

I go to a medium on occasion. I totally believe in it as she is extremely specific and could explain my grandma's characteristics to a T. (she is dead). She even told me the name of my dog that died in 1991!!! She tapes the sessions and I let some of my friends and family listen to the tapes and they FREAKED OUT!!! She told me my sis in law was going to get pregnant (she did) even though they were going to have a hard time conceivng (also true)! She explained my dad EXACTLY, she told me what he looked like, what he does for a living and how he brags about me to everyone! She even knew the kind of car he was restoring! She is absolutely amazing! The last time I went to her was right after I got into a fight w/my mom about the wedding hall I wanted and she told me my grandma was saying 'don't settle, you have it where you want it bc your dad will be on your side no matter what'. Sure enough, I won! Oh, and I DIDN'T wear my e-ring just to see if I could throw her off-it didn't work!

Yes and No

I do tarot cards. I have done my friends cards and I have been usually right with them.

Brian, my mom and I went to his mom's for the weekend in PA. While their her friend Sue (Angel Lady ) was their. We never met Sue before. We really didnt talk much about my family or anything that night. When Sue was leaving she turned to my mother and told her 'your grandmother is in heaven tending her garden and dealing with your grandfather who is just as stubborn dead as he was alive'

We never spoke of my great grandmother nor did we metion her love of gardening.

That really creaped me out.

I saw a palm reader who told me I would get married when I was 27 (wrong, when I get married I'll be 25), I will have 3 children and 2 will be twins (which I have a few mixed reactions on because my mom went to a psychic who told her I would have twin boys) and she said some other weird thing I dont remember.

My friends saw a psychic out on Long Island and she said he was 100% right on everything.

But I also feel the future is not written. No one can tell you your destiny. Only you make your destiny.
