Ever have a brazilian wax?

I was going to get it done for the HM, but I didn't, cause I've never been waxed down there. I want to try it though. Does it really hurt? I already have a lady that works out of her house, and she'll do it. She was actually my seamstress for the wedding.

I haven't but I do regularly wax my bikini line...

I'm curious to know more about how uh, 'in there' they get with the brazilian waxes because I've heard some pretty raunchy stories...

My friend/coworker goes all the time so she gave me the ladies number. I have it at work so I can tell you on Monday. I am really nervous!

I had it done for the wedding and I've had it done a couple of times since then. It hurts, I'm not going to lie. But the pain is tolerable. You'll probably be uncomfortable for a day but it goes away. And it's well worth the pain.

I did it once and may again today!! It hurt a lot, but I liked the results enough to do it again. The hardest part for me was being so exposed to the waxing lady. But she didn't care, she's seen it all I suppose.

IUt only hurts for a little while (as it's being done) and then it's just slightly sore for a little while.
You are very exposed to the waxing lady

But in my opinion and FH's - it's VERY worht it!!!

I'd really like to know. My best friend said your so exposed, and then her lady will put cream down there. She said that she just wants to be like, oh give me that, i could do that myself

I don't care about the pain!!! I'm a regular waxer, tweezer, etc etc .... I'm more concerned about the nakedness of it all and the uh, positions I've heard about!!!

Are those for real??? How naked do you have to get? Do you really have to get on all fours and stick your butt out? Do they really go all the way up in there !!! Sorry to be so blunt -- I NEED TO KNOW!!

You're naked from the waist down. Don't sweat it...it's not like your cooch is the first they've ever seen!

The first rip is usually the worst. After that there's some pain, but nothing unbearable. I believe the anticipation of each rip is what makes it so bad for most. Your best bet is to take an anti-inflammatory about 30 minutes to an hour prior to your waxing.

As for positions, each waxing technician (I don't know what their professional title is called) has their own method. I've never had to get on all fours. I've had one who makes me lift one leg up at a time so she can get into those difficult to reach places and another has me turn over onto my stomach.

You just have to remember...they're professionals and they do it all day long.

I wouldn't recommend doing it on your own!!!!

I have my Brazilian done at Borte Spa & Salon in East Northport (Jericho Tpke).

However, I will say this - make sure (ask beforehand too) if they use a new stick EVERY time they dip it into the wax. Not just a new stick for every person but EVERY time they go into the wax. That way a fresh stick is always being used - and the wax doesn't get exposed to anything with bacteria. Any place that does not use a new stick every time it's dipped into the way - DO NOT GET WAXED THERE. Ick.

i did it for the 1st time for my wedding....it wasn't exactly pleasant but it wasn't as bad as i thought either!

I did once...and it was some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. But those who do it often swear by it and it's probably like your eyebrows - eventually you deaden the nerves in that area so it doesn't hurt too much. Take 2 advil before you do it to help with the swelling after.

I was doing it for awhile before the wedding and DH LOVED IT! My lady was private in her home and SUPER nice, she even gave us presents for our wedding!

Since moving down to GA, I haven't seen many salons that would do it, but then again I haven't researched.

I was looking for another alternative to shaving...

I was told to hold my knees to my chest so she could get *in there*
