it was someone birthday @ the office just because you really want a piece of cake?

but no luck.....no one in my offices birthday today.....no cake for me....

the last work party we had, we got a big sheet cake, made out of fudgie the whale ingredients (FUDGE ICING!).
ummmm yum?I miss that day.

Thankfully, we don't do that here.

We get cakes, cookies, etc. delivered daily.

Too bad I can't throw some your way. Today we had fancy looking Italian pastries.

Now I am wishing this. Or really any kind of food gathering. I wish we had hot pretzel days like in the Office. That would be the best ever.

Lau works in a doctor's office.

it happens all the time. it's very hard to be on a diet when you work in a doctor's office...between the patients and the bribes (uh, I mean generous lunches) from the pharmaceutical reps...

it was really hard at first and I definitely gained a few lbs

but now, almost 5 years later, I can finally abstain

it took a while

but now it's so abundant that it is somehow easier to refrain

I think we stoppped doing b-day cakes here. I can't remember the last time I signed a card for someone.

Except we had a b-day cake for someone last week, so I guess it's only for the special people.

My b-day is in December so I can forget about that, apparently Christmas is WAY more important than my survival for another year.

I wish I had a nice brownie right now.

I remember working in an outpatient clinic. Every Thursday was a luncheon hosted by the drug reps... they brought some good food. There were always cookies, cakes, chocolate. It was great.

I still want a cupcake right now though.
