Hey B2BMay04 - Fortunate for FI and I his parents bought all our formal china as an engagement gift so I will be registering for this as my everyday china. It is so beautiful!!!! But it is pricey. How many settings do you need? Can you that help cut the cost?

Hi Babybride, good 4 u guys. That was a very nice engagement gift. We have been thinking of registering for the Lenox anyway and just reducing the number of place settings. We will continue looking though. I think that is part of the problem is the dept stores do not have a very large selection. We have been trying the outlets to see if there is more of a variety to choose from.

Hey B2B, we didn't register for anything else (dish wise). one reason is our wedding is small, and i'd rather not get a little of this and a little of something else. We also liked the Pfaltz. Summer Breeze that someone else posted, initially after we felt the lenox may be fancier than we originally intended..

Hey Pickle, We did the same thing. We mixed provencal garden with Provencal sky. That seemed to work out well. I have my heart set on these dishes. We will continue looking and if we do not find something else we really like we will go with this one.

There are some really cute patterns posted that may be alternatives

Everyone has great dishes. I agree!!

We were so happy to have choosing this done. We hope that if we break some, by that time the outlets may have the pattern (haha)!! I think if you love em, get em.

'Townaire' by Mikasa. It's been discontinued, but it was the only china that DH and I was able to agree on. We got it at Tanger Outlet. I LOVE Mikasa.

Re: Every Day China

This was one of the toughest decisions we had- actually! We could not agree on anything! He didn't want flowers and he liked stoneware but I wanted white (bone)! We finally picked out a set at Fortunoff's (Mikasa's Arabella) but I just didn't love it so we returned it. In the end, we found an amazing selection at the Dansk outlet and picked their pattern called Florencia. We love it!!! And it was so affordable since we got it at the outlet. My aunt bought it all for us and we added some pieces. I don't have a picture of it- sorry!
