Make sure square plates will fit in your cabinet - i wanted them but found out they would only fit in the bottom cabinets in our apartment so I opted for round in the same patter (we were lucky they had both). I personally like the swirl because its more of a patter you wouldn't grow out of. Remember dishes should last you at least 5 years if not longer! So think of what you would like in five years.

They are both really nice....I didnt stress about everyday dishes as much as the fine china, if a few years down the road you are sick of the everyday it isnt that unrealistic to get new ones......

I originally registered for the chocolate swirl but for me I second guessed them and changed them - I thought they were to fancy for us to eat off of everyday
