So many people are out of the office with the flu and those that are here aren't feeling 100%. I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat. (the feeling you get 2 days before you have a terrible soar throat). I am freaking out b/c A- my e-pics are tomorrow and i need to look fabulous and not sicky. and B - I am getting married this time next year - what do i do if i am sick on my wedding day!?!!! or my guests are sick? or my BP is sick?!!!!!
I am stocking up on emergenC like crazing and vitamin C and anything I can think of. grrrr.
And i am gonig back to college this weekend to visit my brother -- I can not be sick!

this is my fear too. since I was a baby I am always sick on the most important of days. ex: I was beyond sick at my cousin's wedding where I was part of a BP. what I did was load up on any meds and drank cognac and vodka (yes we do cure illness w/that LOL). so on the day of I was great! then the next day I crashed so hard LOL hopefully there is no repeat w/my wedding of that situation

Aww, hope you feel better. Drink lots and lots of tea with honey to soothe your throat (I usually do this and almost 100% of the time prevent getting sick).

FH has the flu... it suc ks. He claims he gets sick around this time every year... I am like great... why couldn't you think of that when we booked an October wedding?

I just lysol-ed my entire desk and work area. I am basically choking on the fumes. i might start taking vitamines so next year i am in excellent health.

IF you get sick, try theraflu.. the PURPLE one, I was sick last week, seriously thought I was going to die I was so stuffed up I couldn't breathe. I was icky Tuesday, went to the store, bought tylonal cold/flu and some nasty honey syrup and some DELICIOUS mint choc. cough drops (taste like mint nipps) but I just got WORSE!
I was out of work Thursday, my body ached, I couldn't breathe, I laid in bed crying... friday I FORCED myself to go to work, I can't afford another sick day.. well I stopped up at the local store figuring I'd buy some mucinex, they didn't have any so I bought theraflu.. I was 100% within 12 hours!

I thought I was the only one who worried about this! I am a teacher and I am sick with sore throats a lot! Hope you feel better soon. when i feel a sore throat coming on, I gargle with salt water or listerine and that usually helps.

I am going to try all of these things! (esp the vodka!) I seriously feel like crapola. I had 2 packs of emergenC, and i found a tylenol cold in my bag.and my throat hurts
