they say i need a HUGE box for the envelopes with a lock....I want one of those cute present like things with a slit in it for our table... my mother says someone can just walk off with it and bring it back because there is no lock or anything on it. no one has really said anything about any wedding details yet so now i don't know what to do.... they also said that putting it in front of our table is crazy...we have about 280 people that will be coming.... HELP!!!!! any suggestions for what to do with our cards besides carrying them around in a sack on my arm all night???

OKay with all those people I cannot see anyone being able to remove you card box with out getting noticed. Don't worry about it get what you want.

I know of a couple whose cash gifts (thousands) were stolen by a member of the waitstaff. It's smart to be cautious of the possibility... Maybe you could select a member of the bridal party to overlook the gift table.

Im going to have a bag (money bag) its the pretty white one with a bow on it. To walk around with. After that my mom will probably hold on to it when Im doing other things.

Our card box will be right next to us, and when we're walking around talking to guests, my mother will be keeping an eye on it. Besides that....with 6 brothers all over 6'3, I highly doubt anyone will have balls enough to take my s***t!!!

We are having a three tiered cake money box which I decorated with tooling and sea shells and starfish, it looks really cool, took about two months to do, but I did it a little at a time, But each of the three layers with be glued together and will be placed on a small round table next to us, the only way to take the cards is to break open the cake, which we will do once we take it back to our room that night, so I wont be too worried, plus its pretty big, cant see anyone walking around with that thing.

As long as someone keeps an eye on the card box when you aren't around, it should be fine. Keep it right next to your table and when you are away from it, have your family or FH's glance at it to make sure noone is messing with it.
