I think you said the right thing... you comment made me think of something I said to a girl I used to work with... This is b/4 I got engaged

You and Dwayne have been together for a few yrs now... Why aren't you married... Thats like forever.

I said...
Yeah its forever I guess if your old. Maybe if you had you mind focused your relationships you wouldn't need to butt into mine.

It was right after we bought our Co-Op.... who has money to be getting married right after you close on property on LI... not me!

People are just stupid. This is the kind of girl that wouldn't be able to pay rent b/c she was so busy buying herself materialistic things... She used to complain on how she couldn't afford her rent yet she would come in with new jewelry everyday and a new bag, and new shoes... I was like ummmm... Your discussing my priorities?

OMG!!!
you should've knocked her out!!
dont worry , people say things cause theyre jealous and just to make themselves feel good so just let it in in one ear and out the other.

That's not right!!!

I was on the PATH train this morning and people were talking about my ring (from what they were talking about before my ring, I believe they work in the Bowery area). I don't know what they were saying though because they were talking in another language but, they said enough words for me to know they were talking about it (and from the tone it didn't sound like they were saying nice things).

I love my ring, I think it's perfect.

People are sooo rude sometimes. Don't they think before they speak. I'm glad you told that girl off. Don't be sorry.

I get them all the time because mine is a 3 carat pink sapphire, so everyone thinks it's fake. Everyone says it looks like the fake rings because the center stone is too big and its pink.

The funny thing is that I bought the fake version where I get my eyebrows threaded and had him make me the real version

I just shrug off the comments as long as you love it thats all that matters

Ugh!!! Some people are just idiots!!!

I had the person training me for my job say something along the lines of 'Oh, that's nice, but my BF knows I won't accept anything less than a 2 carat center stone, d color, VVS. And he keeps complaining that he would have to spend $12,000 to get me that ring.'

I told her that's why she's not engaged yet, because she would rather put her man in the poor house just to have her ring. Then I added I couldn't have anything large anyway because it didn't look right on my hand!!

Some people just don't think before they speak!!!

You should have knocked her out. That is rude. She's probably jealous. Don't let her bother you

Re: ewww...Rude ering comment.

from everyone's stories it seems as though a lot of people have experienced this..it's amazing how people have no manners- seriously, what makes people think that not only is it okay to pass judgement on others, but that it isn't hurtful and mean?!? Whatever happened to- if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all! ? I mean, if someone is engaged, you should be congratulating them on the fact that they are so in love that they want to spend the rest of their life with someone, not scrutinizing something on their finger!
