Ex-Coworker Vent!!

Okay - seriously - some people just have some major balls!!

Here's the background. I went to a wedding on June 24th for a guy that I used to work with (just left that job on June 9th). I got a call from my bank saying that I had written my check from the wrong account and that they had to bounce it. So I call this guy when he got back from his honeymoon all apologetic and he says fine - don't worry about it. With my house in a chaotic state right now and starting a new job and changing my entire wedding - I forgot to send him a new check. Honest mistake and I admit to it.

So I get an email from him today asking where his check is. Okay - I admit that it should have gone out and I have the card set up with the new check in a pile of things that need to be mailed - but seriously - would you really call someone and ask where your money is?!?!?! I find this really insulting...and now he is saying that I'm not a friend because of it.

ooooooooooooooooooooooo... What a loser! If he is not someone all that important to you I would just 'forget' to send that check. E-mail him back and tell him to bite it! What a jerk! He does not deserve your money!

where do these people get their balls from? wow...i would never be able to work up the nerve to ask someone where the check is...i mean you never know what is going on with that person...besides the fact that its just plain rude! some people

OMG ~ I am speechless...I would definately not call...when you had a chance to resend it should be fine....Does he know you are going through all these stresses in your life ~ new job & your own wedding? OMG...

That is seriously ridiculous. It would be one thing if you hadn't even called him to tell of the mix-up then it would be somewhat understandable for him to call, but if he's a friend then he should also understand that moving isn't the easiest thing to do and things get misplaced all the time.

I am the type of person that I would write back, that since they are insulting enough to write an email asking for their money...which was supposed to be a gift...you are no longer sending a check because greedy people do not deserve gifts.

The only thing that im going to say is that u need less freind like that in ur life. i know u have a few 'winners' that stress you. other than that NO COMMENT, cuz Im gonna say something really nasty!

Yeah, I would have a real problem sending him a gift now. That's pretty ballsy to ask where the check is.

lol i would tell him that i put HIS CHECK where his manners went a long time ago: OUT THE FREAKIN WINDOW!!! and then i would say so i guess you are never getting it then!

or e-mail him back and tell him you forgot and tell him it is in the mail...

(then realllly forget to mail it & really don't send it) Blame it on the Post office ~ there are always things that get lost in the mail...
