My broker is having me to a favor to him helping out my ex job!! Are you kidding me!!! I am folding Postcards for a seminar..no one knows how to do the lables from excel but me! My broker's sister in law came over and she is stressed! I am doing it for her..she was not there yesterday and no one did a thing to help her..I told my broker I am aganist this but I am doing it out of the goodness of my heart for him! What was the point of firing me if I am still helping her out!!! GRRR!!!!!

I personally would have said NO. Don't let these people push you around... stand your ground. If you are upset about the situation, make it clear so they don't keep doing this to you!

I would not do it...but you must stand your ground and tell him so, or at the very least have him sign an agreement that you will be compensated 'x' amount of dollars for your time. I feel like he's taking advantage of you and it's not fair.

I had fight with my Broker about this and told him it was wrong to ask me to do this! it is his company and I am doing it as a favor for him!! THEN...'SHE' comes next door and asks what was droppped off for me to do..Oh please she knew! And THEN she tried to take it away and bring it back..I told her I am finishing this..I was asked to do this and now it's gonna get done..just so you know I am doing this out of the goodness of my heart!! I showed I was a better person! She went back next door and my friend calls me...'What did you say to her?' She went in her office and closed the door...OH well!!!!

Things are better now! What happened Monday will never happen again! I was making small mistakes and I didn't care for the job..plus I was leaving after the wedding anyways. I guess action was taken before something majorly happened.
About my Ex-boss..we were on more a personal level then business. Sometimes as a manager she has to make decisons that people don't agree with..probably has lost lots of friends because of it! We are talking a little bit..it's not the way it was but it's an effort! It just feels weird! I am totally over everything that happend..I just want to move past this...And I am! We are both trying to reconcile our friendship..it's worth a shot but I all I can do is take it one day at a time! And see how it goes!

I think I'm in the minority but I don't think you're acting very professional.
It's VERY unprofessional to say some of the things you're saying - like you're only doing it out of the goodness of your heart.
Maybe it's because I have employees and won't tolerate some things. We may be friendly but you're still my employee and in this market they should be thankful they even have a job.
You really need to let it go and just concentrate on doing your job and doing it well.
This sounds meaner than it is, I know. I'm not being bitchy or anything, just truthful.

I was let go from my position but my broker still owns both companies! I did it as a favor for him! But after unleashed how I felt and my ex boss found out she was mad that they even asked me! She said it as well as my broker that this will never happen again!
I have let it go! It doesn't even bother me anymore!!! :)
