Did anyone make a spreadsheet of some kind to do their address labels?
Since I stayed at my parent's house this weekend I got a lot of addresses from my side of the family to keep up with thank you cards & eventually the invites.
I just need to know how to set everything up in excel...separate columns for mr/mrs/apartment numbers/etc. I'm great at organizing but I forget everything I learned about this stuff from middle school!

Re: excel/mail merge addresses
I haven't done that in a long time lol! I think it is a separate column for each. Once the spreadsheet is filled in I know it's super easy to do the mail merge , so I'd do it like that and then see if the mail merge works. You can also combine cells if it is wrong for some reason. There are always videos for excel on you tube also! I needed to learn something for my job and I found it on youtube haha

haha! I'll definitely look it up on youtube then! I just wasn't sure how to format the odd addresses - like the families of instead of mr. &/or ms., etc...thanks!

Just include another column labeled Title for Mr. & Mrs., Ms., Mr., etc.

Re: excel/mail merge addresses
I have one, but the wording gets thrown off because some would print 'Mr. John Doe' but whole families need to be addressed to 'The Doe Family' - also, the whole apartment number thing is making everything wacky because then some addresses have unnecessary blanks. Oh well, I have time!

Re: excel/mail merge addresses
If you break everything down into its own column, you should easily be able to do the mail merge. At one point in the mail merge wizard it allows you to select how the names are formatted.
Just google excel mail merge and the instructions will guide you through.
