So I dont know why i decided to do this, but i checked into what cruises were leaving during my HM even though I have one already booked... Im booked with RCCL in a superior oceanview... and came across a NCL balcony that was actually cheaper than the one we have booked... We would also spend 3 days in the bahamas as oppossed to 2 on the other cruise...
Just had to share my joy with someone bc Im going to try to keep this as a surprise for FH We've never had a balcony before bc we just couldnt justify the cost... I dunno where or when this deal came into effect, but Im happy I stumbled across it
Lesson for the day: Continue to check on things even after they are booked... you might get an awesome deal

That's great news! My HM cruise has come down so much that we upgraded to a better room and we are still paying over a thousand dollars less than our booking price! One good thing out of the bad economy I guess!

that is an owesome deal! :) wow! we are also taking a cruise for our honeymoon, but we have not yet done any booking or even gone to any agency to talk about it and find out prices. i have been looking on their cruise websites for prices but of course you always find the craziest of the highest prices on their site, so soon we will be going to an agency to check out what they have! :) we are thinking of doing a 10 day carribean one with either royal carribean or carnival! id rather carnival since we have cruised with them about 3x already, but it really all depends what cruise is available during the time after our wedding and the prices and the islands they go to! :)
have you cruised with royal carribean? we havent and thats why im not 100% about it all. but carnival i know everything about it!
I have cruised a few times with RC and also with Carnival. Both are fabulous! I did just get back from a princess cruise and wasnt thrilled.

Wow Gina that's awesome. ITA with you to keep checking the prices bc they do go down. To tell you the truth I saw that I can get $100 credit towards mine bc I paid with it on my amex card, I'm so happy bc we already saved another $250 with orbitz....every little bit helps

really?? i heard the princess ship is a really nice one!! but i did hear from someone else who just took it not too long ago that she wasnt very happy with it either and she thought it would be something else.. you took it with carnival or royal? cause both cruise lines have a ship called princess!
