EXCITING NEWS!!!!

So, I’ve posted before that we weren't going to have a rehearsal dinner. With everything going on it just didn't look like either parents were going to help with it and we couldn’t swing a sit down dinner ourselves. Soooo...we live in NYC and have a friend up the street in this super luxury building, turns out they have a party room with amazing views of the east river and it's available the Friday before our wedding. Its $400 to rent but it has a kitchen, tables, an outdoor patio and we can have it for 5 hours (but must be out before 1am). I think we're going to do it....I'm hoping the bridal party will help out with buying the drinks and food but it's just going to be a casual thing. YAY!! You think $400 is too much?

Nope! Sounds about right. I live in a building like that too in Hoboken and $400 is right for a fri night in the party room.

i think thats a great price!!!!!!! u should do it sand im sure the bp would not mind bringing a little something..nothing too expensive

NOT FOR THE CITY! I think that is a great price esp if the place has a view... you should go to Bjs or Costco and get those like whole chickens or veggies.. they have food all ready to go for at home parites.. but if you get a few boxes then you can spread it out like a buffet

I don't necessarily think $400 is cheap. For just a few hundred dollars more you could have dinner at a restaurant and not have to buy the food yourself or do the cooking or anything. You don't have to do a major 3 or 4-course RD...

But at the same time, hanging out together in those luxury lounges is totally fun...so i say do it!

$400.00 is a great price!!! Also considering its in the city, has a great view and a kitchen! Thats great!!!

Another reason we want to do it is because it's up the street from our apartment. We wouldnt have to commute far and my friends could stay overnight.

It's called the waterford...and the party room is on the 47th floor. I hope the weather is nice they have an outside terrace with more chairs and stuff.
