Exciting weekend!

Exciting weekend!

Friday night was our engagement party and we had so much fun! I need to figure out how to upload pictures (I'll give it a try tomorrow). It was at FH's firehouse and catered by Piccolo's in Bellmore (where I used to work), with a cake and desserts from Taste of Home in East Meadow. FH's uncle dropped me off at home, where I passed out in my dress, while FH passed out on the couch at the firehouse, where is brother (BM) stayed with him all night, bringing him home at 6am. My aunt took a bunch of photos but hasn't had the opportunity to send me yet. We just hung around the house on Saturday, mostly recovering and taking inventory. My cousin (BM) gave us gorgeoud Waterford crystal toasting flutes. We aren't registered anywhere yet, but these are exactly what I would have asked for. Sunday FH and I opened our joint bank account and then headed to FOCCUS, the first step in our pre-cana classes. Wow, we've been engaged for over 7 months but it's finally beginning to feel real and I'm starting to feel like a bride and not just a wedding planner. Did anyone else complete any exciting wedding plans this weekend?

Congrats! How was the cake from A Taste of Home? They make the cake for my catering hall and I haven't met anyone yet who's used them!

FH loves casada came so that's what it was. It was just a small sheet cake, more for pictures than anything. It was delicious. I've never had a problem with them. I even bought a flower cookie and dress cookie from them very last minute. They were great. They might do a tasting, I'm. It sure.
