Executive Inn - Woodbury

Hi, Did anyone block rooms there? Is it true that you have to guarantee 1/2 of your rooms get booked or else you are responsible for paying?

I booked rooms there and I don't remember them saying that - now I am panicked!

i blocked rooms there also.. And, i re-read my contract and it says the same thing> however, i did not sign my contract yet. I'm going to call the girl Jessica first to discuss it. Otherwise, she might lose my business. I blocked off 19 rooms..

Yeah - I can't find a contract either and I don't remember siging one, but they let me block the rooms. I have a call into Jessica and am waiting for her response.

Let me know what she says!

Thanks

Random!!!

I spoke with her today and the policy is that 70% of rooms need to be blocked - She said that she was flexible w/ that and can possibly do less.

I tried to reason w/ her -- telling her that others in the area have no charge but she didn't seem to care.

BUT __ they do offer a free shuttle.

I am trying to decide if I should book or not -- not 2 many out-of-towners

OH great, i'm so glad to hear that. I'm going to block off the rooms. I'll assume we wont have to pay a thing!

Thanks Jen

I didn't go there, but I've heard of others making you pay a deposit, pay for unbooked rooms, etc...

If it's in the contract, most likely you have to pay up...I would go elsewhere if you are uncertain and/or sure you won't meet the minimum, no one wants to pay for hotel rooms that aren't used!

I made sure that the hotels I booked at do NOT require such before I even gave them my information. You just never know...your guests might not come, might seek a different hotel out with credit card rewards or travel packages with their flights!

Good luck!

no no no... what I was saying is that we already used them for our November wedding and we asked for 15 rooms. In the end only 4 guests used them. They never called us and we never saw it in our contract that we needed to pay

It might have changed though so I guess it is best to check.

DH was the one who dealt with Jessica....he just told me its 70% of the rooms need to be booked- in order to recieve the discount price

Also that when the reserve date passes, the rooms simply go back to regular rooms and are not held for your wedding guests any longer.
