Does anyone have any suggestions for a good exercise videos? I would do anything from cardio to pilates, etc, but I know there are a lot of bad ones out there. Has anyone come across any that they really like?

Re: Exercise Videos
It's a little expensive, but the Firm videos are awesome. The infomerical is on all the time. The tapes are tough, but if you stick with them, they work. You get 3 tapes, this fanny lifter (fancy name for step) and a rotation calendar. You also need some light weights.
Since I can't stick to anything, I also just bought the Windsor pilates tapes - hoping to try those out today, but my cousin swears by them. I just don't know if that will help me tone my arms for my gown.
Best of Luck!!!

I love Walk Away the Pounds with the balls or I just got the waist belt one as well. They worked great with helping me lose weight before our wedding. Now I just have to get back into them!

I agree that the Firm Workout tapes really work. It is a tough workout, but if you do it everyday, you see results very very quickly.

Re: Exercise Videos
I have also heard that the Firm tapes are supposed to be excellent! I have a Tae Bo DVD that's pretty good. The only thing that I don't like about these exercise tapes is the music. Maybe it's just me, but 'Muzak' doesn't get me pumped for exercise!

Re: Exercise Videos
I agree about the Muzak on excercise videos. I used to practice a tape until I memorized it, and then I'd mute the TV and play my stereo LOUD......worked for me!
I think the Firm tapes are great, especially for butt and legs - and the Fanny Lifter is not just a regular step - it's a lot taller, which means it's killer on your *ss and legs during the workout. I wish I had one, but I bought my Firm tapes in Blockbuster.
I also have Tae-Bo, but I am not that hip to the kick-boxing thing anymore. That's so 1998...
I too, am curious about the Windsor Pilates tapes that are advertised lately. It sounds great, and I like the idea of not needing any equipment in order to do the workout. If anyone has used this, please post!

Re: Exercise Videos
octobergirl - the fanny lifter comes with the 3 tapes in a package. It's really just two steps - one is 6' the other 8'. Depending on what you're doing sometimes you use one or the other, or sometimes both (that's when you really feel the burn).

Re: Exercise Videos
Once when I was very overweight I used Billy Blanks Tae Bo videos and lost a little over 60 pounds in 2 months. I was so proud of myself. I am starting to gain a lot of it back. I better go pop that tape back in now. See ya!!!

Re: Exercise Videos
I like Cardio Boot Camp - I was amazed at how quickly I saw results by using it a few times a week (only 15 minutes at a time). And boy does it work your butt!
There are three lessons on the tape, but I usually just did the 1st.
ok can someone help me? where do i get this fanny lifter & the steps? I really need this! Thanks

Re: Exercise Videos
Are there any reputable web sites that do reviews of tapes as well? I'd love to hear a comparison... Consumer reports doesn't seem to have one (although they do talk about treadmills and elliptical exercisers).
jennbaby -- I think Cira was giving you a compliment. Another response could have been, Thanks for the compliment, but even I could use some toning. No reason to get upset!!!
