Is anyone having their ex at the wedding? I am having two of them, one I'm fine with being there because he is gay and we broke up a while ago (no, I didn't know he was gay ) But then there is this other guy who I dated after the gay one who I honestly, from teh first moment I met him, said that I was going to marry him. I wouldn't want to now, by any means, and would never ever go back to him because I wound up loving his energy for life more than the actual person and my FH is just the best person for me and in general....but....is anyone else inviting an ex and is anyone thinking it may be weird? Before anyone asks I'm inviting him because he's part of the 'long island' crew that I hang out with, to not invite him would seem weirder than not inviting him......

I am definitely not inviting any exes, I started dating my fi when I was 16 anyway, so I don't have any exes of significance.

I'm only friends with one of my ex's and he is not going to be invited. He said that while he is so happy for me, it would be too weird seeing my family and everything. I am sure that he is right, it probably would be weird, you know?

If you are still friends with him, and your fiancee is ok with it, then I would probably do it. There is also the chance that although YOU are ok with it, your EX might decide not to attend.

I was going to invite mine. we are still friendly. But FH gave me a look when I suggesrted it. I really don't understand why. We are friends. What's the big deal?

DH had a few at our wedding. One was even a BM! We have all been friends for years -- since 1988, and back then most of our friends dated one another and then stayed in the 'group' I was in her BP and she was in mine. If you are confident in your relationship...it shouldn't matter.

Not inviting any...but wouldn't be surprised if one special ex showed up too wish us well. It would be weird....but it's in his nature to let me know that he will always 'love me' even if we aren't meant to be. And he wouldn't feel right without 'sending me off' with his blessings. So, not invited--but may show up unexpected (but welcomed).

I invited an ex / friend to my engagement party a couple of years ago. My FH seemed to be ok with it. He went away to college and We really do not talk at all anymore. He was originally going to be invited to the wedding. But now I dont think so. Its been so long since we talked or saw eachother...it might be awkward. and he doesnt talk to any of our 'group' anymore either. So I guess I am not going to invite him.

Considering my major ex was FH's best friend and now want to kill each other, don't think its a great idea...although my grandmother has this preminission that the ex will be coming in and knocking down the walls to stop the wedding...very a la the graduate.....nice grandma...
