i am still friendly with my high school sweetheart and i will always love him, but we were just not meant to be. i understand that feeling. I am not going to invite him because according to my brother, he still loves me too...just not in the way i do him. I think the wedding would be hard for him. FH would'nt mind - one of his EX's will be there. She is married now and they are part of his longtime 'crew.'
It all depends on a given persons past and situation.

I totally agree. One of my ex's is coming to our wedding, and we are going to his. but we always had more a friendship than anything even back then. I know i can genuinely say that i am happy for him that he found such an amazing FI, and he can say the same for me. I think if it were any other way, then it wouldnt be worth the risk. That being said- would i slow dance with him at my wedding? No. My other guy friends, it wouldnt even phase me. But although there is no conflict, and even FH knows how much i value the ex's friendship- something like that would still be disrespectful in my eyes. i dont know why, but its just something that i wouldnt do.. does that make any sense the way i said it?

I am inviting one of my exes because we are good friends. My FH is fine with it. He does not want any other to be invited. I am fine with that, don't want any of the others to come.
