Experience with high BP? Help me! UPDAT with Diagnosis!

Original post by myasmom

Does anyone have info concerning high BP?
When I was preggo I hand pregnancy induced HBP. And occasionally I would get dizzy spells.

I have been sick and honestly thought I was getting better. Well today I have been feeling nauseous and above my eyes I feel a slight pressure..like a headache coming on. Also my eyes are sensitive to too much light. I cant get into my doc today (half day) but can get appt tomorrow. She said if it gets worst go to the emergency room and she'll meet me there.

I am not pregnant so I am worried right now. I had 3 pickles and have been eating WW food. Do you think this could be from too much sodium. I know you guys arnt docs but any info would help.

UPDATE: I am falling apart. I have been diagnosed with a upper respiratory infection and that can be a reason why I am nauseous as well but I also have Reflux so that doc said could be happening at the same time. And last but not least my pressure was elevated and i am sopposed to buy a portable kit so I can take my pressure. I am sopposed to take procardia but I have take my pressure first to confirm that my BP is elevated. ( I dont have to take it everyday! YAY!
So everything is treatable. I have to go to the pharmacy and fill my prescriptions. I hate have meds..and honestly I hate the nasal sprays..they are NASTY.

THANKS LADIES!

P.s DH bought me a carvels ice cream cake AND for some reason it feels so good going down...yum.

lol. Dang it. She didnt say anything about ice cream. And it feels so good going down. I am glad to know what is wrong. Dh has been great. So have my parents. They are taking our 3 year old tomorrow evening and for the weekend. Woo hoo.

My parents have hBP and have to take their meds everyday. So my mom is really cautious about me and the procardia. I took one and honestly I didnt 'feel' a difference. I am glad that I can come on here and get support. With all the BiGGER health peoblems I already have sometiems I feel better venting on here than giving my family more to worry about.

Geez lady-----I don't get to talk to you in a little bit, and you go and get yourself sick!
But seriously, I am glad everything is treatable and I hope you have a speedy recovery!
I think icecream can make anything better
