experience with paradise bridal and adriennes bridal?
id love to know ur experience at these bridal salons. do you know if they have plus size samples? adriennes said they do at their islip location but i wasnt sure about paradise bridal. any comments help!! TIA!!

Paradis briadal does have plus size. I am using them but beware, never walk in w/o an appointment unless it is ur first time there, and once they have ur deposit they r not that grt. personality wise. But ask for Patty W. She is my lady. They're nice, but they get pretty snippy after they have ur deposit. And check with the manufacturer if they tell u the dress will be discontinued. They did that to me so I would order and now my dress is sitting there in storage.

i didnt like paradise at all....the women who i worked w was sweet when i was tryin on...but talked about me when she walked outta the room...made a coment that how can i get anything on the budget I gave. I didnt think saying 2k made me cheap....guess so in her book! She didnt realize my MOH was in the room and heard everything she said.....needless to say I walked out of that place
Adriennes i went to bc i was passing by....didnt have an appt so they basically told me to get out....so I did and didnt return there either...i mean come on why go back to a place that treats you like garbage when you walk in the 1st time!

Ive never been to Paradise Bridal but I got 2 Bridesmaid dresses from Adriennes when I was in my brothers weddings and they are great...I never did alterations there so I'm not sure about how they are with that.

Not sure about plus sizing but I really enjoyed Paradise. They never pressured me to purchase, they let me try on as many gowns as I wanted and some more than once, they made great suggestions of dresses for me to try on. They even stayed after closing because I was still indecisive. I also had Patty and she was great. There was another woman there who was none to pleased that we were taking so long but she can kiss my asssssss! Haha!

I got my dress at Adrienne's. I had a good experience there so far, but my dress has yet to come in. I worked with a young girl with huge boobs ( ) (Jennifer? Melissa?) and she was fine and then I bargained down the price with the owner (Joanne?). I heard some mixed reviews about 'The Maids Cottage' (the cottage where you can get BM dresses in the back of the store), but I didn't get my BM dresses from there anyway. Check every place out, what's the worst that can happen?

I went to Paradise Bridal...IMO they didn't have much of a plus sized selection..at least not the style I was looking for. It was just OK..nothing fabulous. They pressured me a tiny bit at the end, which I don't like.

i went to paradise and had a great experience. i must have spent about 3 hours trying on lots of different dresses. they had a big selection of plus size dresses. both mom and FMIL bought their dresses there and had a very positive experience. so far, i have no complaints.

I got my dress there as well as our bm dress and my mom's dress. They are really helpful and patient when you are looking for dresses but not as great after the fact. The biggest issue I had was that they kept pushing back my second fitting and when I finally went in they still hadn't done most of the alterations. It was really frustrating, but in their eyes it was peak season and they were short handed and just kept reassuring me that it would get done. I'm pretty calm and I was confident it would work out, but others might have flipped out! There were a few other minor issues but in the end all the dresses came out beautiful.
ETA that I was referring to Paradise. Woops!

I had a negative experience when I went to paradise bridal. I was looking for a specific dress and had been calling all over to see if stores had the sample. They told me they had the sample and i drove 45 minutes to try it on. When I got there I had to wait for the bridal consultant to come, she was running late, but I saw many others standing around talking (I also had an appt!) She was confused saying they don't have that dress and she didn't know why they would say they did and wanted me to try on other dresses...and somehow in the mix there was the dress! She wouldn't confirm it was the dress until I put a deposit down on it...I ended up not loving it anyway but the whole thing was super shady and I wouldn't of bought the dress even if I loved it.

I am not sure about the sizes paradise carries. I used them & was very happy with everything. Lolita helped me pick out my gown, Rosie helped with alterations, I forget the other ppl names. They were very good to me. I have no complaints. I say they are defin worth a shot if they carry your size.

well, I live right in Islip and wouldn't even think of walking into Adrienne's....and If you decide to go there, make sure you make an appointment because they will treat you like crap. My best friend who got married last November had the worst service there ever...put it this way, they did not finish her gown until 6pm 2 days before her wedding...FM me if you want further details.....
